Have you tried downloadables? The Durham County Library is now offering three different types of downloadables (see the descriptions below). You will also find listings for free eBook, eAudioBook, music and videos on our downloadable page.
With Overdrive you can listen to an audiobook on your computer or portable device, at any time of the day or night from anywhere in the world! All you will need is your library card number. PLEASE NOTE: OverDrive WMA Audiobook titles, provided by OverDrive, Inc., use DRM protection technology from Microsoft Corporation. You will need your library card number and your PIN number. Your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number. PLEASE NOTE: MANY TITLES ARE NOW COMPATIBLE WITH iPODs. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION OF THE MEDIA CONSOLE.
NetLibrary : All you need to access NetLibrary is your library card number. This service provides downloadable ebooks which you can read on your computer. It includes fiction, nonfiction, Cliff notes, children's books and much more. NC LIVE's subscription to downloadable audiobooks which you can listen to through NetLibrary has ended. However, Durham County Library does offer eaudiobooks which you can download from Overdrive. How-to guide ![]()
