Library Online Catalog and Circulation System
The HORIZON automated circulation system enables the library to keep track of all materials borrowed and returned, fines owed, payments received and materials placed on hold. HORIZON offers quick access to information about materials in the library system, including the location and status of each copy. The catalog includes books, recordings, magazines, audiobooks and other non-print materials. Patrons may access HORIZON on the Library's Web site.

Volunteer Opportunities
Durham County Library uses the services of many volunteers in its facilities. If you are interested in volunteering, please go to our volunteer application form. A volunteer coordinator will contact you when an opening is available that fits your preferences. Durham County Library also places community service volunteers who are assigned service projects by the courts.
