Death's Half Acre

Death's Half Acre

Check it out

Just after Easter, a young man asks Deborah's father, Kezzie, to talk some sense into his grandmother, who's planning on signing away the family land to God (though it'll be the preacher's name on the deed). Meanwhile, other farms are being sold to developers, who're turning the fields into suburbs and changing the face of the rural community even if they do have to gain approval from government officials -- but that may not be as difficult as it sounds. When county commissioner Candace Bradshaw is found dead, it appears to be a suicide -- but looks can be deceiving, and Deborah and Dwight realize Candice was killed and that she was likely taking kickbacks from land developers.
