It's summer, and since she's running for re-election in November, Judge Knott needs to start campaigning. That process isn't made any easier when her wild teenage nephew A.K. and some friends get drunk and vandalize a cemetery, knocking over some tombstones and spray-painting others. Things go from bad to worse when similar spray paint is found at the scenes of several African-American church burnings. As the racially charged investigation draws national media attention, Deborah can't help but wonder if one of her own family could have done such a cold-blooded thing.
