Winter's Child
Just a month after Judge Deborah Knott and Chief Deputy Dwight Bryant are married, Dwight gets a call from his 8-year-old son, Cal; the boy doesn't know where his normally conscientious mom is. Dwight leaves behind an investigation into the sniper shooting death of a Colleton County man in order to travel to Shaysville, Virginia, to be with his son and figure out where his ex-wife is, but once he gets there, Cal disappears, too! As Dwight and Deborah worry and try to find Cal, the North Carolina deputies try to sort out who the sniper is.
