The Southwest Regional Library is served by DATA bus route 5.

From the South, East, or RTP area:

Take Hwy 54W to Hwy 751 and turn right, then make the first left onto Garrett Road. Travel two miles to the next light and turn right onto Old Chapel Hill Road. Continue straight as it becomes University Drive. Turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, then turn right onto Shannon Road. Take the first left into the Southwest Branch parking lot.

From the North or West:

Take Hwy 15-501 By-Pass south and exit onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Cross University Drive. Turn right onto Shannon Road, then take the first left into the Southwest Branch parking lot.

From Downtown Durham:

Heading South on Mangum Street, turn right onto Lakewood, which becomes University Drive. After approximately 3-4 miles, turn left onto Shannon Road. Travel straight through the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway intersection. The library is the first drive on the left.
