| Scope and Content: | The Study Club Collection, 1923-1998, consists of nine scrapbooks, programs, and papers documenting the activities of the Study Club. The Study Club was a women’s group organized in 1923 “to encourage members to broaden their knowledge of the fine arts – literature, music, opera, ballet, painting, sculpture, etc. – as well as events within our domestic and global world.” The scrapbooks contain programs, photographs, clippings, and correspondence describing the activities of the club and the individual members. The collection also includes yearly rosters listing the club’s membership. | |
