Description: Yearbooks, clippings, minutes, and miscellaneous records from one of Durham’s oldest women’s organizations dating to 1896. 
Scope and Content: The Up-to-Date Club Collection, 1896-1984, consists of club programs, notes, records, book lists, and record books documenting the activities of the club.  The organization was founded in 1896 for the study of “Modern Thought, Inventors, New Books, etc.”  It became club tradition that “at Roll Call, each member would respond with some current topic of interest.”  The collection includes programs with membership lists and early book lists.
