The Foundation Center's database is one of the primary resources for grant seekers. The database can be searched by specific fields, or can simply be browsed. It is geared to grant seekers who are affiliated with non-profit entitities. It is not set up to assist individuals seeking grant funding for personal projects.

Similar to the Foundation Directory Online, this database is devoted exclusively to foundations that fund individuals (who may or may not be affiliated with non-profit entitities). It is a rich source of information on scholarships, fellowships, grants and awards available to individuals seeking grant funding for personal projects.

Chronicle of Philanthropy ![]()
Biweekly newspaper that covers philanthropy. Recent news articles are available and some past issues. They are organized by subject area and also includes conference, job and grant deadline listings. The Durham County Library has print copies from 1997 to the present.
Council on Foundations ![]()
A nonprofit membership association of grantmaking foundations and corporations. Site includes Foundation News and Commentary and foundation web sites.

DCL is a Foundation Center Cooporating Collection. Carolina State Government Support for NonProfits ![]()
Maintained by the NC State Auditor's Office, this site lists private nonprofit agencies which receive state funds. It reports the amount each agency received, and provides a brief indication of the purpose of the funds.
