from Mid-Continent Public Library is a compilation of selected books that have been made into movies. You can search by movie title, book, or author.

BookBrowse

is a database of selected works of current fiction, many of which are bestsellers. The most unique feature of this site is that there are excerpts from all of the books included in addition to reviews, summaries, author biographies and other related information.

Book Browser

has a wide variety of book related information including book lists, by series, genre, time, place and occupation; book reviews, author interviews and links to other sources of book information on the internet.

BookSpot

is a portal site which brings together lots of book related sites. From this site you can find links to authors, reviews, reading lists, book stores, discussion groups, lists of award winning books, and much more.

BookTalk

from the Mohawk Valley Library System, links to information about book reviews, authors, "If you like" lists, book discussion guides, publishers, genre ficiton, series information, young adult interests, and more.

Century of Good Books

from the Ann Arbor District Library, contains several different Best of lists from a variety of sources.

Don't Quit Your Day Job Records

is not in the strictest sense a site about books; however, many of the musicians they feature are well known authors. At DQYDJ, you can purchase albums featuring Steven King, Maya Angelou, Ken Follett, Robert Fulghum and others. Also has information about live performances and brief bios.

eBook Connections

is the connection to everything related to e-books. Offers reviews, links to author web pages, excerpts, bestsellers lists, and links to e-publishers.

Fiction DB

is a great source for locating mystery, western, and romance authors.

Genrefluent

is a site about genre fiction.The site's author, Diana Tixier Herald, has read over 12,000 books and averages one new book a day. The site has book reviews, books of the week, links to genre fiction, and links to libraries.

Morton Grove Public Library: Virtual Reader's Service Desk

offers a lot for fiction lovers. Some of the information is specific to the Morton Grove, IL library and community, but a lot of the information is useful for anyone who loves to read. Readers will find lots of great new web sites at "Web Sites for Book Lovers".

New York Times' Book Review

offers lots of great stuff including bestseller lists, the first chapters of hundreds of books, information about authors, reading group information, and audio interviews and readings. Requires free login.

North Carolina Fiction

created at the North Carolina Collection at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, this list offers fiction titles based on North Carolina. You can select by author, county, city, geographic area, and fictional town.

Oprah's Book Club

has lots of information about Oprah's book club including her personal favorites, a chat section, discussion questions, transcripts of her chats with various authors, and lots of other interesting stuff.

Overbooked

has contests, reviews, reading lists, book talks, links to author web pages, and information about the newest fiction to hit the library's shelves.

Readalike

is a web site from a library in Tasmania that allows you to select an author that you have read and gives you suggestions about other authors/books that have a similar style and feel to them.

Reading Group Choices

offers lots of information for starting your own reading group, has links to discussion questions for lots of books and has a message board to help you find a reading group in your area.

Waterboro Public Library's If you Like

A great web site for readalikes. You may search the general lists, genre lists, or specific author or title.

Halton Hills Public Library Series Lists

gives the order and titles of books in a series. There is one page of links for general fiction and another for mysteries.
