All About Romance

This claims to be THE romance readers' home for romance novels, reviews, authors, and more. It is a lively and popular site for and by romance readers, with an interactive and back-fence atmosphere. They offer printable lists for library or bookstore visits. It also has a great purple prose parody section!

Literary Times

Another very lively and popular site for those who love to read romances. It has romance reviews by different types: anthologies, inspirational, historical, regencies, contemporary, and some e-books. It has lists, by month, of forthcoming releases and articles about romance authors and has links to some author's web sites.

Romance Authors Page

This site was originally created for authors but it has expanded its scope and has a new look and a lot of interesting things for romance readers, too. There is good list of author's web pages and a huge research index for information such as clothing in the regency period! It also has tips for writing romances.

Romance Novel Sequels and Prequels

"How often have you read a romance and closed the book with a nagging feeling that another one must have been written before it? Perhaps certain secondary characters were so vivid and compelling that you just know they had their own story? Or perhaps the plot was such that you know you've missed the beginning thread somewhere?" These are the questions that this attractive and helpful site attempts to answer.

The Romance Reader

Up to date and very popular, this site has thousands of book reviews, rated with one to five hearts, plus sensuality ratings from G to NC-17! It also has news, features, and author interviews.

Romance Writers of America

The RWA is made up of more than 8,000 published and aspiring romance novelists, and while mainly for authors or would-be authors, this site has extensive information for readers. For example, their Romance Novel Data base allows you to search for books by title, by author, by author's home state, or look for heroes named Jake! It also has links to author web sites, current romance best sellers, and is the home of the RITA Awards, given for the top romance books each year.

Romantic Times Online

The online version of the popular magazine, this site has news and features, plus easy access to their book reviews and recommendations, along with a direct connection to an online bookseller.
